Dancin’ Austin

December 2022-Present

The Challenge

Dancin’ Austin needed a consistent, engaging visual presence across its digital and promotional channels. The work required more than just creating individual graphics - it meant developing a long-term strategy to:

  • build brand awareness

  • grow the social media audience

  • keep content fresh, on brand, and engaging

  • communicate across multiple platforms

My Role

I manage weekly content that connects Dancin’ Austin to The White Horse music lineup as well as other ongoing content needs upon request, including:

  • Brand assets & logo variations

  • Social Media strategy & content planning

  • Weekly graphic design & content creation

  • Content scheduling & publishing (Meta Business Suite)

  • Audience-focused visual communication

  • Print & promotional design

  • Website design & content

  • Maintain a consistent visual identity.

Results | Growth from 1,200 to 257,000+

When I began partnering with Dancin’ Austin, the main social media presence (Instagram) had approximately 1,200 followers.

Today, the account has grown to more than 257,000 followers during my time working with the brand.

This Project Demonstrates:

  • Content Strategy

  • Social Media Management

  • Visual Communication

  • Brand Consistency

  • Project Management

  • Audience Engagement

Maypearl ISD

2023-2025

The Challenge

Maypearl ISD is a small district in the north Texas area. Most smaller/rural districts do not have communications departments or roles within their district designated to help provide consistent communication and branding. The district did not have a branding guide established and in anticipation of the school choice era in Texas, they needed some positive marketing and promotional assets.

My Role

As a Graphic Design and Digital Media teacher, I used my skills to support a need for a rural district in the following ways:

  • Created a branding and style guide

  • Created vector files for various branding purposes

  • Created digital content for social media

  • Created digital marketing campaigns

  • Designed print media options

  • Captured photos & videos for marketing assets

  • Edited marketing and promotional videos

  • Created social media content for all 11 athletic programs

VIDEO EXAMPLE 1

▶️ Teacher Spotlight Series

This was part of a video series and is an example of leadership, art direction and talent development. I created a template of shots, trained them how to effectively use B-roll and provided a variety of edit options to make an engaging product. Students captured video, completed interviews, and edited a final product for district marketing and teacher appreciation. I created a storyboard, shot list and finished examples for my students. I coordinated and communicated with all stakeholders involved.

VIDEO EXAMPLE 2

▶️ Senior Lip Dub

This is another example of leadership, art direction and talent development. I choreographed a lip dub with music input from the class of 2025, communicated and coordinated with all stakeholders involved and edited a finished piece as a memory.

A district style guide identifying and including official colors, color proportions, logos with color variations for different needs was turned over to the school board and leadership.

This Project Demonstrates:

  • Brand Identity

  • Visual Communications

  • Brand Guidelines

  • Digital Marketing

  • Campaign Development

  • Multimedia Content

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Project Management

  • Updated vector files and branding assets

  • Refreshed Adobe files (District calendar)

  • Created digital content for social media

  • Created digital marketing campaigns for summer months

  • Designed print media options (Professional Development flyers, etc)
